I am an artist both by profession and by vocation.
Although my family expected me to follow the path of a fifth-generation physicist, my childhood unfolded in the halls of Moscow’s great art museums, where I spent countless hours with my grandmother. For me, the great Impressionists were simply the “house painters” of my childhood.
My first drawing, still preserved in my family, was made when I was two years old: a single pencil line forming a rabbit, with a red eye added in another colour. From that moment on, art has never left my life.
Natalia Grigorieva is a contemporary artist working in painting and graphic art, known for her international exhibitions and award-winning works.
Exhibitions & Recognition
In 2006, the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg presented a solo exhibition of Natalia Grigorieva’s paintings and graphic works, accompanied by a catalogue published by Palace Editions.
The accompanying State Russian Museum publication included a critical essay by Alexander Borovsky, Head of the Department of Contemporary Art.
Natalia Grigorieva is also represented in the archival resources of the Van Abbemuseum in the Netherlands.
